Founded in 1971 and based in La Vista, Nebraska, Streck, Inc., manufactures calibrators, linearity material, and quality controls for Abbott, Sysmex, Siemens, and other leading medical instrumentation companies around the world. Streck made a name for itself by creating a system that replaced the manual counting of blood cells under microscopes. Streck scientists developed proprietary technology that both isolated and stabilized platelets, paving the way for a fully automated system that allow for the accurate calibration of platelet counting devices.

Over the decades, Streck continued to innovate, filing and acquiring over 60 patents that cover the technology behind more than 20 unique laboratory products. The company is certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which is an independent and non-governmental organization that ensures global standardization and quality for whole products and product parts. Streck’s ISO certification provides consistency across products in fields that range from molecular diagnostics to immunology.
